Kashmiri Hindu Conference core group held meet | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, September 21: Kashmiri Hindu Conference Core-group met under the chairmanship of M L Thusoo. The meeting discussed centre’s approval to the revised return package for migrants. The Government of India has given its nod to the revised return package for migrants. However KHC feels, that contours of the package do not take in account many needs of the Pandits. They said that the many needs like need for grant of political space for the KP community, statutory safeguard for cultural heritage and religious places and shrines, constitutional safeguard to Kashmiri pandit community as miniscule minority. The leaders said that without these measures the package lacks credibility and sincerity. The leaders termed it a body without soul. The elements of triggering exodus including separatists, communalists, Pro Azadi and emotional people without constitutional safeguards cannot allow pluralistic society to develop and flourish. As such the revised package without statutory safeguards is not a lasting one. They want to conspicuously break the ghost of mass exodus of KPS from Kashmir valley in 1989-90. The leaders of the core-group suggested the community members not to be lured by any liberal economic Rs.20lac per displaced family till a full security measures are taken into account. The leaders discharging their socio-political duly alarmed the community about the coming events which cast their shadow before. The core-group meeting included M L Thusoo, P L Koul Budgami, K L Ganjoo, Maktoom Jai Kishen, M L Daftri, A K Sadoo and M L Daftri.
