| DPS organises English recitation competition | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 21:
Delhi Public School Jammu organized an 'English Recitation Competition' for class II in the Primary Wing of the school.
Twenty four students enthusiastically took part in the competition.
Seema Aggarwal wife of Naveen Aggarwal, ADGP J&K judged the contestants of English Recitation competition. She was awestruck by wonderful recitations of children with proper intonation, flow, clarity and modulation of voice and expression. After hearing all the competitors, the judge for the "event declared six toppers in the above said event. Saket Sonar and Taruni Magotra stood first, Kristika Sharma and Riya Munshi bagged second position while Sia Gupta and Ridhima remained third in the competition.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Sudarshan Sonar who graced the occasion had encouraging words for the participants. He said that such competitions are organized in the school on regular basis mainly for the purpose of enhancing the recitation, poetic skill and competitive habit among the students as the same helps them to develop their skills as per the CCE System of CBSE.
The above winners were also awarded by the Principal.
