| Sahai demands up gradation of IDBI branch | | |

President Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ram Sahai has emphasized the need for upgrading the Jammu office of Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) and introduction of direct lending as is done in other parts of the country.
He was talking at an interactive meeting with Chief General Manager North Zone of IDBI R C Razdan here today in which several issues concerning the public dealings of the bank were discussed. He also desired that in view of the privatization in power sector, the mini hydel projects in the state should be on priority.
While responding to points raised at the meet, the CFN assured total transparency and favourable in the dealing with good promoters and business houses adding that the terms of business would be settled on case to case basis. He said that zonal office is competent to deal with the cases up to Rs.50 crore and sought Chambers’ help in promoting the business of IDBI in the State and also bringing into his notice any difficulty faced by the customers.
