HC stays operation of authority withholding pension of petitioner | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, September-22:- In a petition filed by Anil Saraf a retired employee of institute of music and fine art Jammu and a RTI activist whose pension was withheld by the authority, Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar of J&K High Court after hearing advocate Kuldeep Singh Parihar issued notice to respondents to show cause why rule is not made absolute and subject to objections till next date, operation of impugned order is stayed. In the petition it has been submitted that petitioner is a RTI activist and erstwhile employee of Institute of Music and Fine Art Jammu. It was further submitted that petitioner's vows began after he made complaint on the basis of the information collected under Right to Information Act to the President of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages regarding financial irregularities, embezzlements, backdoor appointments and corruption in J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages. It has also been submitted that respondent No 5 has made illegal and false communication with respondent No 3 making false accusations that the petitioner is still under suspension and sought guidance regarding withholding of pension and has also endorsed a copy of said communication to the University of Jammu to withhold the pension of the petitioner vide its communication No 4046-50 date August 10, 2011 despite its earlier communication the petitioner challenging the same and seeking quashment of the said impugned order.
