| PAS lambasts govt for neglecting Kishtwar people’s plight | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 22:-A meeting of Public Awareness Society, District Kishtwar was held today under the Chairmanship of Ravinder Kumar Shan in which people from all sections of the society participated.
Shan while speaking on the occasion lambasted the State Government for neglecting the plight being faced by the people of Block Marwah, Warwan, Dachhan Nagsenl, Kishtwar and Paddar for non-functioning of all these blocks due to absence of Block Development Officers in which BDO Kishtwar has been given additional charge of Block Dachhan, BDO Marwah on the other hand has been given additional charge of Block Warwan and BDO Paddar has been entrusted additional charge of Block Nagseni for the last several months. This has caused unprecedented difficulties to the people of all the above said blocks.
Shan has strongly criticized the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for overlooking the miseries and plight of these people who are suffering for want of Block Administrative Heads in their blocks. The higher ups inspite of knowing the facts seems sleeping over the matter. It is not out of place to mention here that all the developmental schemes viz, MGNREGA, BRGF, IAY, RGGW and so may other Central and State Govt. sponsored schemes have come to standstill in these blocks in the given circumstances when there are no Block Development Officers found in the blocks.
