PK denounces moves to scuttle geo-political aspirations of KPs
9/22/2011 9:45:10 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 22:-Panun Kashmir (PK) has unequivocally denounced the move of the government for its attempt to scuttle the genuine geo- political aspirations of the exiled community of Kashmiri Pandits in the shape of central government approving state sponsored return package.
In a meeting of Political Affairs Committee of Panun Kashmir which was convened today under the championship of its convener, Dr Agnishekhar, the members expressed surprise over government’s move to wrap legitimacy to this manipulated return package by taking the refuge under the so called endorsement of the Apex Committee.
Addressing the meeting, Dr Agnishekhar asserted that time and again it has been reiterated that this Apex committee had no mandate, not even in the least, from the displaced community to discuss, let alone decide or endorse any decision of the Government in respect of any matter concerning the hounded KP community.
He said that statements given belatedly as a futile exercise of damage control, by some of the members of the Apex Committee was nothing short of a double speak and hypocrisy as these very members were the ones to felicitate, garland and “ shawl “ the State Ministers and authorities in the meeting of Sept 4, 2011 preceded and followed by praises and accolades. Dr. Agnishekhar said that such duplicity of the Apex Committee members and sell out of the community’s interests by them was destined to be accounted for hurting the community, sooner than later.
Vijay Bhat , the President of Panun Kashmir ridiculed the “yesmanship “ and total surrender of the members of the Apex Committee before the state government in attempting to deny the geo political aspirations of the exiled community members by putting hurdles in granting a separate Homeland to them.
Sanjay Raina, Secretary Political Affairs Committee reminded the members the deceptive role played by the Apex Committee members in cooperating with the State government to attach undemocratic and draconian conditions with the PM’s Employment Package.
