Dharmarth Trust celebrates 116th birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh

Jammu , 22 Sept: To mark the 116th birth anniversary celebrations of the late Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir State, Hari Singh Ji, employees of J&K Dharmarth Trust organized a simple but an impressive function in premises of Shree Raghunath Ji Mandir here today.

The life-size portrait of Maharaja Hari Singh was profusely garlanded and glowing tributes were paid in his memory.
Havana was performed for peace and prosperity of the people of the State in general and Royal Family in particular.
Speakers described Maharaja Hari Singh a great reformer, socialistic and benevolent ruler who hreatly loved his subjects.
Paying tributes to Maharaja sahib, president of the Trust Thakur Divakar Singh described him a great visionary and farsighted statesman.
He said because of the irrevocable instrument of the Accession signed by Hari Singh Ji, Jammu and Kashmir has become the integral part of the country occupying its crown place.
He said befitting tributes to Maharaja Sahib will be to give good treatment to our most respectable devotees and tourists who pay a visit to the historical Shree Raghunath Ji temple and other sacred temples constructed by the great Maharajas of the State so that they could carry good impression of the working of the Trust to their homes
President, J&K Chapter of Vishwa Hindu Parshid (VHP), Rama Kant Dubey said that Maharaja Hari Singh taught us to live with pride, dignity and self-respect. He implored to tread the path of love, compassion and unity as shown by him for the great cause of the State.
Among others, Shashi Khajuria , secretary of the J&K Dharmarth Trust , former Director Tourism S.M. Sawhney, and former District Development Commissioner Samba B.S. Jamwal , were also present .
A large number of teachers, students of Shree Raghunath Pathshala and employees of the Trust were also present on the occasion.
