| Health camps organised at block Akhnoor | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, September 23: To reach the unreached, free health camps are organized in block Akhnoor. In this connection, a camp was organized at village Sohal in which more than 300 patients were checked up by doctors and accordingly free medicines were provided.
The same camp was organized at village Mandiwala in collaboration with PHD Chamber of Commerce and industries, J&K Committee in which 330 patients were examined and provided free medicines. In this camp, doctors of different specialties like General Physician, child specialist, gynecologist, eye specialist, dental surgeon were involved.
In addition to this, special stress was given on health education by the team of Community health officers, health educators, lady health visitor and female health workers. A mass vaccination was done of the children within the age group of 0-16 years and pregnant ladies by the experts.
These camps are an effort to reach and treat the public at the door step by providing them with proper knowledge of preventive measures to make them live a healthy life style.
The whole programme was organized under the supervision of Block Medical Officer, Akhnoor.
