Supervisor’s promotion as Incharge DM | SFC challenged,HC directs not to confirm the respondent | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, September-23 (JNF):- In a petition filed by supervisors of State Forest Corporation challenging the four steps promotion to the post of Incharge Divisional Manager SFC, Justice JP Singh of J&K High Court after hearing advocate FS Bhat appearing for the petitioners issued notice to State of J&K through Commissioner/Secretary Forest Dept, Managing Director J&K State Forest Corporation and Asif Ali Nazar and in the meanwhile ordered that Asif Ali Nazar shall not be confirmed as Timber Testing and Passing Officer till next date. In the petition it has been submitted that Asif Ali Nazar respondent No 3 was illegally granted four steps promotion. According to the petitioners the respondent was appointed as Supervisor Grade-II and promoted firstly to the non-existing post of timber testing and passing inspector which was declared as equivalent in status and responsibility to Deputy Manger Grade-I and thereafter to the post of Incharge Divisional Manager within a short span of five months by ignoring the J&K SFC Service Regulations, Seniority and Superior Claim of the petitioner, seeking quashment of orders dated April 26, 2010 and September 30, 2010 passed by the Managing Director J&K State Forest Corporation also seeking direction to the official respondents to accord similar benefit of promotion in favour of petitioners with effect from the date their junior Asif Ali Nazar has been promoted to the post of Timber Testing & Passing Inspector and Incharge Divisional Manager SFC.
