2 absconders held at Ramban | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 23: Two criminals, who were evading arrest for the past over six years, were today arrested by police at Ramban. Both of them were apprehended by cops from their hideout in Ramban on a tip-off,
police sources said. They were identified as Mohammad Sharief and his brother Mukhtiyar Ahmad alias
Owais, sons of Nazir Ahmed Koka of Chachawa, Gool. Warrants against section 512 of RPC had been issued against them by the court of
JMIC, Gool. While cases under sections 302, 307, 121-A, 124-A and 120-B of RPC were registered
against Sharief, Owais was booked in cases registered against him under sections 364,
121-A, 344, 307, 120-B of RPC and 7/27 of Arms Act. They were produced in the court of law which sent them to judicial custody.

Vaishno Devi pilgrim dies of cardiac arrest EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 23: A pilgrim died of cardiac arrest en route Vaishno Devi shrine, police sources here today said. "A pilgrim identified as Madan, 65, resident of Mehrouli, New Delhi last evening died of heart attack when he along with his family, was on way to pay obeisance at the cave shrine," police said. Police said he fell unconscious and was immediately shifted to the nearby health centre but declared as brought dead." The body was handed over to the family members for the last after completing legal formalities," police said.
