Rather inaugurates Rs 2.22 crore, ATI Srinagar

SRINAGAR, Sep 23:The Minister for Finance Abdul Rahim Rather today inaugurated two storeyed Building for Accountancy Training Institute at Haftchinar, Srinagar.
The building comprising 14 rooms over an area of 9543 square feet has been completed at a cost of Rs 2.22 crore.
The building is one of the components of Accounts & Treasuries Office Complex, which on completion shall have office accommodation for Director General, Accounts & Treasuries, Joint Director, J&K Funds organization, Kashmir, Deputy Director (Central) Accounts Treasuries, Deputy Director (Central) J&K Funds organization, Examiner/Chief Accounts officer, Local Fund Audit, Srinagar, Chief Accounts officer, District Fund office, Srinagar and Accounts office, State Life Insurance Fund Kashmir and a four storied Hostel Block comprising 64 rooms to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 5.82 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the main purpose of constructing Accounts and Treasuries office Complex was to provide better working conditions for employees and spacious accommodation to various subordinate offices of the Finance Department under one roof as also to provide comfort and convenience to the general public who used to visit these offices in connection with disposal of their cases. He said the complex shall be completed at a cost of Rs. 12.42 crore including main office building costing Rs. 4.38 crore, Accountancy Training Institute costing Rs. 5.82 crore and Hostel block costing Rs. 12.42 crore. The J&K projects construction Corporation, which is the construction agency has incurred an expenditure of Rs. 6.49 crore on the complex so far.
Rather said a similar magnificent Accountancy and Treasuries office complex is also under construction at Jammu which is coming up at a cost of over Rs. 12 crore adding that Rs. 5.67 crore has already been released for the purpose
