Rigzin from IMFA bags first prize in Collage competition

JAMMU, Sept 23: On the second day of ongoing Inter-Collegiate and Departmental “Display Your Talent” 2011-12, organized by, Collage and Rangoli Competitions were organized by Department of Students Welfare, here today.
Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Jasbir Singh and Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Neeru Sharma, were the chief guest on the occasion.

Dean Students Welfare Prof. N.K. Tripathi, delivered the welcome address.

In Collage, Rigzin Palgor from Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Jammu bagged the First Prize whereas Mehak Bakshi from Government Women College, Parade and Shivali Rani from Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Jammu bagged the Second and Third Prize, respectively.

The Certificates of Merit were awarded to Jasneet Kour from Government Women College, Parade, Insha Manzoor from Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Jammu and Snigdha Jamwal from Government College for Engineering and Technology, Jammu.
The topics for the Collage Competition were “Musician”, “Portrait of a Famous Personality” and “Dream”.

Suman Gupta, M.A. Alnasir and Manoj Chopra, were the adjudicators for the said event.

In Rangoli, Bharti Devi from Department of Zoology, University of Jammu was adjudged as First whereas Manisha Sharma from Sai Shyam College of Education and Anshu Bala from Department of Mathematics, University of Jammu bagged the Second and Third Prize, respectively.

The certificates of Merit were awarded to Rajesh Sharma from The
School of Bio-Technology, University of Jammu, Rekha Devi from Government Women College, Udhampur, Tarun Sharma from Government MAM College, Jammu, Anjuman Ayub from Government Women College, Gandhi Nagar and Mehak Bakshi from Government Women College, Parade.

Dr. Shubhra Kapoor, M.A. Alnasir and Suresh Sharma, were the adjudicators for the Rangoli competition.

Dr. Sarika Manhas, was the Teacher-in-charge for the Rangoli event. The programme was compeered by Rani Kumar, Secretary, Students Cultural Council, Pooja Langeh, Joint Secretary and Hardeep Singh.
The programme was held under the supervision of the Gurpal Singh, Kulbushan Thakur, Balwant Singh Slathia, Surinder Singh Bhalla, Joginder Singh, Ram pal and Yash Pal.

Among others Vijay Atri, Vinay Thusoo, Teacher Incharges from the various affiliated College, Faculty Members and students were present.
