| Meeting on session strategy today | | | | Even though the Speaker has yet to come out with a decision as to whom he will consider leader of BJP in the House in the coming session, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta, who claims that technically he continues to be leader unless MLAs in majority go against this, has convened a meeting along with six other legislators tomorrow in which the strategy for the session would be discussed and formalised. The group which includes six other MLAs of BJP suspended by the party is likely to enlist the issues which it would rake up during the session, focussing mainly on Jammu based matters and corruption as a general issue. Prof Gupta has also submitted a private members bill on the pattern of Lok Pal bill to check the menace of corruption in the state. |
