| Doda people form NGO to promote education | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, Sep 24:-People from cross section of society in Doda have announced to form a new Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) under the name of Educational Development Society (EDS), Doda.
The announcement to constitute the NGO was made in a function held here today. Abid Pampori was unanimously elected as the Chairman of EDS, Doda while Mukesh K Parihar was elected as President of NGO.
Other members who were elected include Adil Iqbal Naik as Vice-President, Mohammad Ishaq as General Secretary, Koshal Sharma as Dy General Secretary Arshad Ahmed Wani as Chief Manager, Firdous Ahmed Malik as Publicity Secretary.
In the function, Chairman EDS, Abid Pampori said that in our district the literacy rate is far behind the average and the NGO will work in the path for increasing literacy rate in Doda.
Moreover, the NGO will work for the development of education system and for the welfare of the student community of Doda.
