GCW Parade students’ industrial visit flagged off | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 24:-Minister of State for Higher Education Dr Manohar Lal Sharma flagged off an Industrial tour, for the students of Department of Computer Sciences, Government College for Women Parade to IT Park, Chandigarh. During the impressive flag off ceremony Dr Manohar Lal Sharma interacted with the students and teachers. He expressed the hope that the industrial visit would leave a memorable imprint on their mind and provide them an ideal opportunity to witness the infrastructural development and working of Industry. He appreciated the working of the College and Department of Computer Sciences in particular for arranging such Industrial Visit .He also congratulated Principal, staff and students of the college for getting “A” Grade from NAAC. Earlier, in her welcome address Dr. Kiran Bakshi welcomed Chief Guest and others dignitaries in the flag off Ceremony and said that such Industrial Visit are very important for the Students as it provide a unique opportunity to the students to interact with the Industrial managements and help students to learn the management practices followed by the Software Companies. She further added that it also acquaints students to Industrial environment and gives exposure to the corporate work culture. On this occasion Minister also honoured IQAC team of the college who really worked hard towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance HOD Computer Sciences Prof Parveen Singh explained in detail about the companies they are going to visit.
