| Foundation day of Jammu Rural Women Foundation celebrated | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, September 24: An impressive function was organized by Jammu Rural Women Foundation in collaboration with NFIW on the Foundation Day (Sathapna Divas) at Bhargav Public School, Lower Gadigarh, Jammu. The function was attended by a large gathering of over 1000 people.
The function was inaugurated by M L Sukhdeve, Chief General Manager, NABARD besides Shamima Akhter, Additional Secretary J&K Cultural Academy, Jammu was Chief Guest and Ashwani Pradhan, trade unionist was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Shamima Akhter said that such functions will benefit in a large scale of the Rural Women and generating awareness among them.
She applauded the role being played by the Jammu Rural Foundation which is working selflessly for the cause of women living in the rural areas. Also spoke on the occasion were Smt. Sunita Sharma, President J&K State Rural Women Foundation and Ashwani Pradhan, Trade Unionist.
Jammu Rural Women Foundation is working for the upliftment of rural women.
Organisation has distributed 500 flour bags and candles to women and notebooks to 200 children.
Panchayat Brij Nagar (Pawan Sharma), Panchayat Miran Sahib (Raju Sharma), Panchayat Darhap also participated in the meeting.
