| Children receive scholarships from HBET | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, September 24: On the 6th day of the scholarship distribution function scholarships worth 24 thousand rupees were distributed among 45 students
Dr. Romesh Gupta, Medical Superintendent, Government Medical Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, was the Chief Guest and Ajay Agarwal Sponsor of HBET and Professor Arti Bakshi, HOD Psychology Department Jammu University was the guest of honor at the 6th day of the scholarship distribution function.
They appreciated the activities and efforts made by the Trust for upliftment of the down trodden masses of the society especially girls.
Scholarships were disbursed among the students of Government schools of Kana Chak, Garh Mandi, Samba, Qazi Tokroian, Mishriwala/ Kulian and Rajeev Nagar by Harbans Bhalla Educational Trust on the 6th day of scholarship distribution function.
Medical checkup, Counseling sessions, evaluation test were also organized for the students. The Trust was established in 1997 with the objective of supporting educational needs of the children living in the rural/border areas.
Speaking on the occasion, the Managing Trustee Kunil Bhalla conveyed that the scholarships were given to Government School children, who come from weaker sections of the society. He thanked all the sponsors who had supported the trust by the means of funds.
