| Global Helping Hand organises plantation drive | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 24:
Global Helping Hand in continuation to its programmes for safe guard of forests, wild life, and environment organized a plantation drive on the eve of "Green Day". Chairman of the GHH Jatinder K. Bhat along with other members started the plantation drive in the premises of ASCOMS in presence of Dr. A Kumar, Director-cum- Principal of the ASCOMS. Nearly 150 plants were planted during the drive in the premises. Speaking on the occasion Bhat appealed to the people of the J&K to come forward and contribute for safeguard of forests, wild life and environment which are the basic sources of life. Bhat added that as the noble hands of doctors save the lives of human beings similarly by planting a plant people could save the environment which either directly or indirectly saves the human lives. He said that all the people should dedicate a little time from their busy schedule by contributing few moments for saving the environment by planting a plant in their respective surroundings.
Appreciating the cooperation and efforts of the Director/ Principal of ASCOMS Bhat said that the event was not possible without the cooperation of the authorities of the ASCOMS.
