Weapons’ exhibition Shourya Shastra concludes

Udhampur, Sept 24: The four –day long weapons’ exhibition Shourya Shastra concluded here in a valedictory function in which Balwant Singh Mankotia MLA Udhampur who is also an alumnus of the college was the chief guest.
He inspected the exhibition organised in the college multipurpose Hall by the Heritage Club of the college in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Police dept. and Zangpo Art Gallery, University of Jammu.
The purpose of this endeavor was to grow in the youth a sense of pride and bravery for the honour and dignity of the motherland that our ancestors have always fought for.
In his address the chief guest appreciated the positive development that took place in the college during the Golden Jubilee Year of the college especially various extracurricular activities organised to supplement the academics and grow confidence among the students.
He also congratulated the college for the sustenance of various healthy practices of the college especially the functioning of the Heritage club.
Earlier the principal Nutan K Resutra gave a brief account of developmental activities of the college and future endeavors that would help the college fulfill its vision and mission.
He also reiterated his commitment for the welfare of the institution. The report of the four day event was presented by Sudhir Singh, convener Heritage club.
This exhibition was inaugurated by Kuldeep Khoda, IPS, Director General J&K Police on 21stof September 2011.
Those who immensely contributed in the exhibition include Vikram Singh Slathia, Anil Paba, Sukhdev Singh Sambyal , Anita Billoria , Aniroodan Singh Sambyal, Naseeb Singh Sambyal, Rajinder Singh Narania, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle , Ishri Singh Sambyal and students of the college.
Deepak from Jammu University designed the layout of the exhibition.
This exhibition was visited and cherished by a large number of students and teachers of various colleges and schools of the town along with many members of civil society in addition to the students of the college.
Kamal Kishore , Romesh Sharma, Anita Sharma, Romika Bassin, Ajay Sharma Javed Server and forty Heritage volunteers were among the organizers of this event.
