| DIG asks public to exercise vigil during navratras | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATRA, Sept 24: DIG (Udhampur-Reasi) Jagjit Kumar today called upon the people to
exercise vigil to ensure the smooth conduct of the forthcoming navratras in the holy
Katra town and at other places in Reasi district.
Addressing a police-public meet in Reasi town, he said public support was must to
ensure incident-free conduct of navratras.
It was only because of the public support that police and security forces were able wipe
out militancy from Reasi district, he added.
The meeting, which started at about 11 am, ended at 2 pm. It was also attended by
Reasi SSP Keshav Ram Chourasia.
Prominent persons of Reasi, including Sohan Lal Sharma, Om Prakash, Des Raj, Tariq
Bhat and Yashpal, attended the meeting.
