9th class student found hanging from tree; murder suspected | | | JAMMU: A 15-year-old son of a horse cart-puller was today found hanging under mysterious circumstances from a tree at Khwaskan near Giddar Galian (Sher Garh) in Gadi Garh area of Satwari here. As he had injury marks on his left kneecap, the possibility of his murder was not ruled out, police sources said. Sunil Kumar (15), son of Dalip Kumar, a horse cart-puller, of Khwaskan, went missing from home Friday under mysterious circumstances. The family searched for him in the locality and in the houses of some relatives but he remained untraced. His body was found hanging from a tree in a field, about 50 mt from his house, by some villagers early this morning. He studied in 9th class in government high school, Giddar Galian. Gadi Garh police post came to know about the incident at about 7.30 am. Soon thereafter, a police party led by the post incharge, SI Rajeshwar reached the spot and evacuated the body to the GMC hospital. A Board of Doctors was specially constituted to conduct post-mortem on the body and ascertain the cause of death. The body was later handed over to the family members for last rites. Police were investigating into the matter. |
