| RKJ holds Dogri Kavi Sabha at Panchari | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
PANCHARI (UDHAMPUR) SEPTEMBER 25- Radio Kashmir Jammu organized a Dogri Kavi Sabha in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School, Panchari about 45 km from District Headquarters Udhampur, last evening.
In Kavi Sabha, as many as fourteen noted poets of the Jammu region participated and recited their poetic verses which were highly appreciated by the audience present on the occasion.
MLA Chenani, Mr. K.C. Bhagat was the special guest on the occasion, while as Padamshree Awardee, Mr. Jatinder Udhampuri presided over the function.
The Poets who presented their Dogri poems included Dr. Jatinder Udhampuri, Narsingh Dev Jamwal, Darshan Darshi, Dr Dayan Singh, Om Goswami, Mohan Singh, Gianeshwar, Varinder Kesar, Dr. Gian Singh, Prof. Shiv Dev Singh Manhas, Nirmal Vikram, Sushil Begana, Usha Kiran Kiran and Madhu Sharma.
MLA, Chenani lauded the efforts of Radio Kashmir Jammu for holding Dogri Kavi Samelan in Panchari for the entertainment of the general public, and enrichment of the literature, especially in Dogri. He called for organizing more such programmes in other remote areas for the benefit of the public.
Speaking on the occasion, Programme Head, Radio Kashmir Jammu, Mr. Ravi Magotra highlighted the programmes of Radio Kashmir Jammu and its allied channels. He apprised that efforts are being made to organize more programmes in remote areas of the Jammu province to make people more familiar and close to Radio Kashmir Jammu.
Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Mr Ravi Kant Sharma while Technical assistance was extended by Mr. Shakeel Bakshi. Among others, Sarpanches, Panches, Principal of Government Higher Secondary School, Panchari, teachers, local peoples and students were also present.
