Pancham Society stages Hindi Play “Neptheyien Mein” | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 25- Pancham, Society for Art, Culture, Education and Social Upliftment, in collaboration with J&K Academy for Art, Culture & Languages, today staged Hindi Play, “NEPTHEYIEN MEIN” written by Mrs. Yogita Yadav and directed by Bhupinder Singh, here at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. Joint Director Information, Jammu Soujanya Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Soujanya Sharma appreciated the performance of the artists and others associated with the staging of the play. He said that due to other entertainment sources like Television, Radio, Internet, etc, the interest of people in theatre have decreased adding that there is a need to promote this medium which has a centuries old history. In today’s play, the lead character of the play is shown highly impressed with the numberless unsung heroes and heroines of the nation. The play commences with the dream of peaceful life in Independent India, a dream for which they put everything on stake including life, to see their nation free and prosper religiously, culturally, economically and socially. The play adaptation by Mr. Shiv Mehta. Gurmeet Jamwal, a well known theatre artist of the state, in the main lead, did full justice to the character whereas Suresh Sharma, Vijay Goswami, Saki Shah Saki, Narinder, Susheel and Vijay Kapoor also supported her fully. In today’s production lights were executed by Manoj Bhat and Jai Ram, Music was composed by Arvind and Surinder Manhas, sets were by Jagdish and Narinder, costumes were by Rimmy Sharma, Property was by Pooja Dutta, Team Manager was Tapeshwar Dutta and Mr. Vijay Kapoor was the Assistant Director.
