| Government providing lip service, no appreciation to brave citizens | | | Early Times Report
DODA, September 25: Government slogans of awarding the brave citizens who help to security agencies in any part of the state are seeming to be mere lip service as three months had gone Mohan Singh S/O Desh Raj R/O Narnoo, Bhaderwah and Cham Singh S/O Kuldeep Singh R/O Kulsari Bhaderwah who informed the Police about an IED in a bus in Qazi Kund when they were travelling to Jammu are still without any appreciation letter and award.
Both brave man told this media person that on July 29, 2011 when they were travelling in a bus from Batmaloo to Jammu they saw suspicious bag in a seat and they immediately informed the driver and after that Police and save the precious lives of innocent people travelling in the bus.
They said after that Police and army rush the spot and refused the IED and assured us that they will reward us suitably but till day nothing have been done in this connection , Mohan Singh and Chaman Singh added and expressed surprise over the apathetic attitude of the government towards them . They alleged that Police rewarded the bus driver and cleaner with cash with out any reason and ignore us and even not a single appreciation letter was given to us , they said and urged upon the government not to ignore the brave people of the state in near future and if it happened in future people will fell discouraged .
When this media person contacted SDM Bhaderwah he informed that he has forwarded their bravery case to DDC Doda for award.
