Shri Ranbir campus wins volley ball, kabaddi, wrestling championships | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu: September 24, 2011The 4th Inter-campus Yuva Mahotsava (Youth Festival) 2011 organized by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University), New Delhi at its Shri Ranbir Campus, Kot Bhalwal, concluded here today. Jammu campus emerged as winners in Volley Ball and Kabaddi. The Jammu Campus has already been declared the over-all winners of the Wrestling Championship. R S Chib, Minister for Medical and Technical Education, Sports and Youth Services, was the Chief Guest in the Valedictory Function, while Prof Ramanuja Devanathan, Vice Chancellor, Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University, Jaipur, was the Guest of Honour. Prof Radha Vallabh Tripathy, Vice Chancellor, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sanshtan presided over the function. Prof. Vishwa Murti Shastri, Principal, Shri Ranbir Campus, Prof K B Subbarayudu, Registrar, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Prof M. Chandra Shekhar, Chief Co-ordinator and Dr Shukla Mukherjee, Coordinator of the Youth Festival were also present among the dignitaries. In his address, Vice Chancellor, Prof Radha Vallabh Tripathy noted with pleasure the excellent performances of the participants in academic, cultural and sports competitions. He also appreciated the sense of discipline displayed by the participants. Hailing the young talent, he said that struggle promotes development of talent and sharpens the skills. In the four-day Inter-campus Youth Festival (Yuva Mahotsava) 2011, 540 participants from the 10 campuses of the Sansthan situated at Garli (Himachal Pradesh), Allahabad and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Puri (Orissa), Guruvayur (Kerala), Mumbai (Maharashtra), Shringeri (Karnataka), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Jaipur (Rajasthan) Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) competed for the top slots in the fields of Volley Ball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Badminton, Chess, Wrestling, Athletics, Yogasana, Rangoli, Painting, Cartoon making, On-the-Spot Painting, Computer Programming, Elocution, Quiz, Classical Dance, Classical Music (Vocal), Classical Music (Instrumental), Mono Acting, On-the-Spot Writing, Oral Subhashit recitation, etc.
