Majid Wani concludes tour of Doda constituency | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 25:MLA Doda Abdul Majid Wani during his last leg of tour of Doda constituency visited far away areas like Beoli, Bijarni, Kachhua, Manol, Kanhal taking off from Upper Bhagwa ‘B’ Panchayat. MLA Doda was given warm welcome by the public at villages Battah, Chatron and Gaddan. On way to these distantly located areas, MLA Doda inspected under construction PMGSY road from Doda to Gaddi and found pace of the work very slow. MLA Doda held public darbars at Battah, Chatron and Gaddan, where public grievances were listened very carefully. The general grievances of public in these distantly located areas were regarding unsatisfactory functioning of educational and health institutions. During his visit, MLA Doda found one Primary School at Manol locked. Reportedly, the said Primary School was closed since last two months and two R-E-Ts posted there were missing from the school without any information about their whereabouts. It was learnt that functioning of educational and health institutions has badly affected due to shortage of staff. Health sector has totally failed in these distantly located areas causing a great inconvenience to the general public. On spot directions were given to PHE officers for up-gradation & improvement of Water Supply Schemes in these areas. The PHE Engineers were exhorted to strictly adhere to high quality and standard norms. PDD officers were also asked to make immediate arrangements for replacement of rotten wooden poles & barbed wires being used, in these areas, in place of normal aluminium LT cables. Later, MLA Doda laid foundation stone for construction of three motorable bridges at Udhyanpura Nallah, Balhal Nallah and Bungam Nallah in Bharath area.
