| IMPA organizes one day awareness programme | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Sept 26: To sensitize officers about various sections of J&K Right to Information Act 2009, the J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPA) today organized a one day Awareness Programme here today. The programme was sponsored by J&K State Information Commission.
Course Director of the Programme, Dr. Rachna Dutt Goswami threw light on various topics including salient feature of J&K RTI Act, role and responsibilities of PIO and APIOs, implementing RTI in J&K etc. She also outlined importance of Right to Information and responsibilities of officers who provide information to general public.
RTI activists from Sangarsh RTI, JK also shared their experiences with the officers on the Act. Balvinder Singh and Raman Sharma delivered lectures with the help of power point presentations. Later, a healthy face to face interaction was also held in which expert of RTI and officers participated.
Among others, District Officers of various departments, Senior Advocate, functionaries of Sangarsh RTI and faculty members from IMPA were present in the programme.
