| DDC Kathua convenes Public Darbar at Mandli | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Sept 26: To ensure speedy disposal of public grievances, Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Zahida Parveen Khan held Open Darbar at village Mandli in Tehsil Billawar of Kathua district.
Sarpanch village Ted, Phinter Sham Lal Spolia demanded immediate repair of Bhini Bridge and inquiry into the damage of Dhar- Udhampur road within few month of its construction by GREF. Other demands put forth on the occasion included block status for Sadotra, repair of Katli and Machhedi road, repair of high school, filling up vacant posts of teachers in the schools.
Sarpanch kishanpur Dr Narinder Vaid demanded mini sect to bring all the departments under one roof, satellite campus of Jammu University, and double lanning of Dayala chack Billawar road. Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the demands and complaints of the public representation. She passed instructions to the concerned officer for early redressel of the demands and complaints of the people.
Deputy Commissioner took serious note of the poor functioning of the health institutions in the area. She said that instead of providing free medicine to the patient, doctors are prescribing costly medicines even for the minor diseases and asking them to purchase these from the market. He asked the CMO to check this anti-people menace.
