| Lok Adalat held at Jammu | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 26: Lok Adalat was held in the District Court Complex, Janipur Jammu under the Chairmanship of Principal District and Sessions Judge Jammu, J.B.Singh Jamwal.
In the said Lok Adalat two benches were constituted. The first bench was headed by Additional District Judge (Bank Cases) Jammu, G.K.Pandita assisted by Presiding Officer, MACT Jammu, Sanjay Dhar. About 23 Bank cases, 26 MACT cases and one case of 1st Additional District Judge, Jammu were taken up, of which 13, bank cases were decided and settled for an amount of Rs.23,15,783 and 8 MACT cases were decided and an amount of Rs.23,24,000 was awarded as compensation.
The second bench was headed by Munsiff Jammu, Anjum Ara assisted by 2nd Additional Munsiff, Jammu Renu Dogra took up 20 petty, civil and criminal cases and disposed 5 cases. The next Lok Adalat is scheduled to be held on 7th of October, 2011 in District Court Complex, Janipur, Jammu.
