| SDH Akhnoor observes September 26 as ‘Day of Deaf | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 26: Sub District Hospital (SDH) Akhnoor celebrated September 26 as Day of the Deaf, here today.
In this connection Director Health Services, Jammu Dr Madhu Khullar distributed free hearing aids to 50 persons of Akhnoor.
Rotary club Akhnoor was the co-sponsor of this function. A free audiometry camp was organized in SDH Akhnoor on September 19 under the supervision of ENT Specialist Dr Pankaj Gupta from where these patients were identified.
Technical support to the camp was provided by JK ears. A special thanks was given to the people of Akhnoor who donated money for purchase of the hearing aids.
The whole programme was conducted under the supervision of Block Medical Officer (BMO), Akhnoor Dr. Narinder S. Bhatial.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Chief Medical Officer Jammu Dr Baldev Sharma, BMO Chowki Chowra Dr Arvind Raina, BMO Pallanwalla Dr RS Manhas, president Rotary Club Akhnoor Anoop Gupta, D P Gupta and J P Sharma beside others.
