| NSS day celebrated at GCW Gandhinagar | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 26: NSS Unit of Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar, Jammu celebrated NSS Day here today.
The function was started with lighting of the lamp and followed by Saraswati Vandana. Prof. Nalini Kohli, Principal of the College by the Chief Guest on the occasion and Dr. Anil Goel was Guest of Honour. In his welcome address, Prof. Hans Raj, NSS programme officer spoke on the history of NSS and its aims and objectives.
A symposium on the topic “The Role of Youth in Nation Building” was organized. Amandeep Kaur, B.A Part I, Nudrat Zargar, B.A Part I and Amandeep Kaur, B.A Part III were adjudged 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Prof. Suchitra Sapru, Prof. Meeru Abrol, Prof. Manisha Kohli were the judges on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Nalini Kohli stressed upon the volunteers to work with zeal and enthusiasm for betterment of the community and eradication of existing social evils. Programme was organized by under the supervision of Prof. Hans Raj, Prof. Ajay Gupta, Prof. Rashi Gupta, NSS Programme Officers of the College. The vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Ajay Gupta.
