He said late Ahmaduallh Azad worked for the upliftment of Leh and Kargil areas as a member of Legislative Council.
Several members participated in the obituary references and paid rich tributes to the late legislators and highlighted their services which they rendered for the welfare and development of the State throughout their life.
The House also paid tribute to former captain of the Indian cricket team Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, who died in Delhi last week.

The House also paid homage to the victims of the earthquake in Sikkim and called for measures to meet any similar eventuality in Jammu and Kashmir as the state is located in a quake-prone seismic zone.
