Mehbooba prays tributes to legislators

SRINAGAR, Sept 26: Initiating the discussion, leader of opposition Mehbooba Mufti while paying tributes said that these legislators worked hard for the welfare of the people of the state during their lifetime.
She said that Rajpori was the part and parcel of the Quit Kashmir Movement against the autocratic rule. She said that Rajpori stayed at his home during turmoil period and was loved by one and all, adding he continued to contribute with his powerful pen, when the times were out of joint. She described Sadiq Ali, Nazir Ahmad Mir and Ahmadullah Azad as noble personalities who contributed to welfare and development of the people.
Mehbooba described late Rajpori as a pious and noble soul who was known for his diligence and gentle behavior. She said that he left indelible imprints on the public canvas of the state as a minister, speaker of the assembly, member of the constituent assembly and even as the editor of a weekly.
