Jagti Tenement Committee hold meet

JAMMU, September 26: A meeting of the members and office bearers of Jagti Tenement committee was held here today under the chairmanship of B.L. Raina, Chairman of the committee
Various issues were discussed during the course of meeting Ravi Zutshi, convenor of the committee has expressed has grove concern over the prevailing foul smell due to upen Manholes and lack of proper drinking water supplies in the camp area.
He made an appeal to the concerned for covering the open manholes and restoring proper drinking water supplies to this comp. he has also said that the prolonged power curtailments has made the inmates of this camp. To suffer hard as such has appealed the concerned for rescoring proper uninterrupted power supplies to this camp.
Vijay koul, Vice president of the committee has said that the government has managed to get funds from the center on the name of welfare and development and rehabilitation of the Kashmiri pandit migrants, which the government has failed to ensure despite receiving huge amounts from the centre.
Sanjay and Ramesh Razdan, Kanwal Krishan General secretaries of the committee have appealed the government for enhancement of monthly cash assistance relief of the Kashmiri Migrants
Sumeer Pandita and Vinod Tickoo convenes of the committee have demanded grant and release of the educated of one time compensation to the educated youth who have crossed the over age limits.
The members of the committee have made a joint appeal to the worthy director General of police for ensuring on spot recruitment rally in the Jagti migrant camp for recruitment of the educated Kashmiri youth in police department.
In the meeting the members have expressed their grave concern over the leakages in the roofs of various building leakages in the bath rooms in various quarters in this camp.
The participants have further said that the inmates of this Migrant camp are fed up of the lack of basic amenities in the camp which has forced the inmates to leave these quarters and seek alternative arrangement.
The members said that the inmates of this Migrant camp have got full faith over the elected president of Jagti Tenement committee Shadi Lal Pandita. They said that Pandita is a devoted worker committed to the welfare and development of the general masses of the community
Those who were present in the meeting include Sanjay Koul, Rajinder Vinod Razdan, Raj Kapoor, Avtar Krishan Inderji Labroo, Chaman Lal, Suresh Koul, Rattan Lal, B.L. Bhat, Satish Suri, Vijay Kumar, Mohan Lal, Jamwal Lal, Kanaya Lal Bhat, Surindr Koul, Pintoo and other.
