JD, Home Guards sat on protest dharna | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 26: Janta Dal (United) and Home Guard Association sat on protest dharna in support of their long pending demands, here today. Addressing the media persons Tar Singh said that this fast is to highlight the disparity with the Jammu region and sufferings of the common people. He further said that we strongly condemn the attitude of state government in this regard. Our fight is against the systems which need improvement. “We feel ashamed when we look around and find people in common are suffering and are humiliated” he added. He maintained that the step motherly treatment of state government towards Jammu region is self explanatory and the same is strongly condemned adding that we urge upon state government to be neutral so that all three regions namely Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh should develop and prosper until and unless the two regions leaving Kashmir aside do not prosper the state is not going to prosper. “The suffering of common people like vendors and many others is to be taken very seriously. People are sitting on dharnas for the last several years” Singh said. Speaking on the occasion president Home Guard Association Kamla Sharma highlighted the just demand of the victimized home guards. She further said that the high-headedness of education department is condemn as several teachers do not attend schools, some of them have further hired 10+2 or Matriculate of the local area to act as proxy teachers who are getting Rs. 1000/- to 1500/- from the actual teachers.
