| Six motorcycles seized, thief arrested | | |

Gandhi Nagar police arrested a motorcycle thief identified as Ashok Kumar son Shambu Ram resident of Shama Chak, Tehsil Jammu here today.
During interrogation six motorcycles which include four Hero Honda and Yamaha motorcycles were recovered from him. He also made disclosure of two more motorcycle stolen by him, which is lying with police station Satwari and at district police line.
A case under section 379 RPC under FIR No 305/2006 has been registered against him at Gandhi Nagar police station. According to source the culprits was active in this illegal trade since long and used to gold them at a cheap rate. The operation to nab the thief was conducted under the supervision of S.P South, Zahid Manhas, Dy. SP S.D.S Manhas. The team was led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Gian Sharma.
