| SRTC/GTU Pensioners hold protest, demand release of COLA | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 26:JKSRTC/GTU Pensioners Welfare Association held demonstration in front of
JKSRTC Headquarter Railway Complex here today in favour of disbursement of outstanding COLA arrears and allied retirement balances.
The protesters led by Chairman, JKSRTC /GTU Pensioners Welfare Association, Ajit Singh Adyal, stressed upon the JKSRTC management and State Government to resolve the issue without further delay.
The leaders spoke in support of long pending demands including disbursement of COLA Arrears in favour of the pensioners blocked by the Corporation from January 1, 1999 to December 31 with interest, Payment of HRA/CCA arrears held up with corporation from January 1 to December 31, Non Depositing of GP Fund subscription of the pensioners with interest at par with the interest rate of AG's office schedule viz a viz payment of COLA arrears in favour of the GTU Pensioners from January1, 2006 to the date of respective date of retirement.
The leaders who spoke on this occasion include K L Sharma, Santokh Singh, Daleep Singh, Tariq Hussain, Iqbal Singh, Jagdish Verma, Isher Singh, Bishan Dass, Balkar Singh and Mohd Saleem Qureshi criticized the JK SRTC authorities and State Government. They stated that we are struggling peacefully since January 1, 1999 onwards.
