| Blue eyed boys get choice posting in ISM | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 26: The issuance of recent transfer cum promotion orders of 24 doctors in Indian System of Medicines (ISM) by the authorities has drawn a flake as the doctors wielding influence were transferred and posted at their choice of posting despite having a premature stay at their old place of posting.
There is a brewing resentment among the department staff against the biased approach of the authorities who have in violation of service rules and regulations transferred some doctors belonging to influential families or having influence in government circles were posted at their choice of posting.
According to sources the kins of politicians especially of ruling class were transferred and posted at their choice place even at a premature stay at their place of posting. This is in total violation of the transfer policy of the Government under which an employee can't be shifted before a stay of two years except there are serious allegations or charges against him or her, the sources added.
Sources said doctors who were having a stay of even less that a year at a particular place were shifted and transferred to a far of place to adjust the influential people there. This shows the highhandedness of the authorities in Health Department, sources added.
Sources said that in comparison to that the doctors having mature stay at a particular place or double than that were not touched at all though they have made umpteen recommendations to the concerned authorities.
Sources said the placing of the doctors having no influence in Government have been posted in far off places and those serving at the far off places for double the maturity stay period have not been touched.
This is due to the failure of the authorities to respect trationalized transfer policy. If this trend will continue it will perish the entire system in the Department. Sources said prior to formation of present Government the doctors in ISM had applied for their transfers after completing their tenure in far off areas but they have not been shifted till date while the files of the blue eyed boys were cleared within no time.
Sources said this biased approach has been the route cause that the doctors are always showing their unwillingness in serving far of areas. |
