| Assembly to meet from 0930 hrs to 1330 hrs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Sep 27 : Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly will now meet from 0930 hrs to 1330 hrs daily from tomorrow instead of 1000 hrs to 1700 hrs.
The issue was raised by Jugal Kishore of Bhartiya Janata Party yesterday who wanted that the house should meet from 0930 hrs to 1330 hrs instead of 1000 hrs to 1700 hrs.
The Navratra is going on and we find it difficult to find time for the puja, he said and urged speaker to reverse to old timing of 0930 hrs to 1330 hrs.
However, Mohammad Yousuf Targami of Communist Party of India (M) said the house should meet from 1000 hrs to 1700 hrs since it has to discussed some important issues, including resolutions.
Mr Lone said the timing of the house to 1000 hrs to 1700 was changed after the entire house agreed.
I cannot change the timing as I have to get the approval from the house, he said and assured that he will consult the members again before taking the final decision. If members are agreed I have no objection, he said.
However, at the end of the day's proceedings, the speaker announced that the house will meet from 0930 hrs to 1330 hrs from tomorrow.
