| JKPP organized an introductory-cum-awareness programme | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, September 27: The Jammu Kashmir Panchayat Parishad (JKPP) organized an Introductory- cum- Awareness and Training Programme at Panchayat Khada-Madana in Block Purmandal of District Samba.
The speakers highlighted various issues relating to PRI's and discussed the need and importance of awareness and training programs for those who are associated with these grass root level democratic institutions. There was a general demand for implementation of 73rd Amendment Act in toto, transfers of all the 29 departments under the Act to PRI's and effective freedom to work independently for the development of the rural masses.
Jugal Kishore Gupta State President of JKPP was the Chief Guest and Balkar Singh - Block President JKPP Purmandal presided over the function. Joginder Singh-Distt. President Kathua, Ranjeet Singh Pathania-District. President Samba, Gopal Sharma- Member AIPC, Rajeev Dutta, Anil Sharma, P R Dogra and Gopal Singh of JKPP also spoke on this occasion.
Jenab Bashir Ahmed- Surpanch, Madan Lal and Krishan Chand both Lambardars, Ganga RamPanch, Bal Krishan, Parshotam Singh, Dev Raj, Rampal, Madan Lal, Gurdial, Rachpal Chand, Vipin Sharma and Vicky were some of the representatives of PRI's and social workers who participated in the programme.
