CVJA thanks JKPA FOR granting affiliation | | | EARLY TIMES report DODA, Sept 27: The Chenab Valley Journalists Association in a meeting held at headquarter Doda under the chairmanship of its president Naseer Khora has thanked president Jammu Kashmir Press Association G.H.Kaloo for granting affiliation to CVJA with JKPA Srinagar. In the meeting, Khora said that with our affiliation to JKPA, the media person including those working with print and electronic media will get a platform to raise their issues and demands which the Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir has not fulfilled yet. Khora extended his full support on behalf of journalists fraternity hailing from Chenab region to Jammu Kashmir Press Association, which is working for the cause and problems being faced by the journalists of the state. The Chenab Valley Journalists Association (CVJA) members have also thanked president JKPA G H Kaloo for granting affiliation and the hospitality which they provide during their last week visit to Srinagar regarding one day general body meet of Kashmir Press Association. Meanwhile, a condolence meeting was also held in which the journalists’ fraternity of Chenab region expressed deep sorrow over the death of Syed Mohammad Masood Gilani, father of noted Kashmiri journalist based in Delhi Iftikhar Gilani. The members there held special prayer for the departed soul. A two minute silence was also observed as mark of respect to the departed soul and prayed to Almighty to give courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. Those presented in the meeting included Fiaz Pampori, Syed Riaz Indrabi, Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev, Faizan Ali Tramboo, Moosa Azad, Umar Khora and others.
