Two held for bovine smuggling

EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Sep 27: District Police Udhampur today arrested two persons for smuggling 12 bovine animals to Kashmir valley.
Based on specific information, a Police party from P/S Udhampur laid a special naka near Jakheni during the intervening late last night and intercepted a bovine animal loaded truck.
12 bovine animals, which were being smuggled to Kashmir valley were rescued from the clutches of the bovine smugglers
Both the bovine smugglers namely Ghulam Mohd son of Abdul Ahad of Arunhal, Tehsil and District Anantnag (driver) and Mukhtar Ahmed son of Abdul Majid of Sunthan, Tehsil Bijbihara, District Anantnag were arrested on the spot and Truck bearing registration No JK 13- 4434 was seized.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 233/2011 U/S 188/RPC, 3 PCA Act stands registered at Police Station Udhampur.
