Truck set on fire by ex-owner | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KISHTWAR, Sep 27: A dispute over non-payment of the amount of a sold truck led to its burning by the former owner of the vehicle. According to sources, the former owner identified as Ajaz Hussain Waza son of Shokat Hussain of Poochal Kishtwar set on fire a truck bearing registration No JK02E-5737 after the person whom he sold the vehicle refused to pay he 2nd instalment balance amount. Ajaz sold his truck to Sajjad Hussain son of Ghulam Ahsan of Sarkoot Kishtwar who at the time of purchasing of the truck didn’t pay the full amount fixed at the time of sale of the truck and promised him (Ajaz) that he will pay him the balance amount with in stipulated time as was agreed. However, despite the lapse of time frame, Sajjad didn’t pay the due money to Ajaz despite repeated request. After getting dejected, Ajaiz Hussain took over the control of the truck on Monday afternoon and once again requested Sajjad to pay the left over money to him which he did not pay. The reports further indicated that after denial from Sajjad, Ajaiz turned angry and in the mean time parked the truck at isolated place poured Kerosene oil on it and set the vehicle on fire. The truck got completely gutted before the fire service man reached the spot and prevented the flames from spreading. Police also reached the spot to investigate the matter, however as of yet, there is no confirmation regarding registration of any FIR by the police.
