EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 27: Government MAM College lifted the overall championship trophy securing highest 26 points in the annual inter-college Judo competitions, organised by Department of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu on the campus, here today. Second place went to the combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Departments of JU with 12 points in their kitty. The interesting bout in open weight category could be decided only with golden point after Ranjodh Singh of MAM College and Umar-Jan Mir of Government Medical College played flawless game. However, Ranjodh emerged the winner securing the gold point in extra time. In the finals and prize distribution function, Director Distance Education, Prof Meenakshi Keelam was chief guest, who gave away overall trophy to MAM College. Director Sports and Physical Education, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau was guest of honour.
