| Zero Hour in LA | | Members raise issues of public importance | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Sep 27:-As many as 30 members raised matters of public importance during Zero Hour in the Legislative Assembly today.
Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, Jugal Kishore, Indu Pawar, T Namgyal and Ch. Mohammad Ramzan raised the issue of compensation to people who have suffered loss to their crops in their areas due to torrential rains. They demanded proper survey should be conducted by the revenue authorities before finalizing the quantum of compensation.
Nazir Ahmed Gurezi congratulated the Government for reorganization of physical education department. He demanded releasing of higher grades to the physical education teachers. He also demanded creation of posts of physical education teachers in all newly created districts.
Prof Chaman Lal Gupta demanded early start of three proposed fly over bridges in Jammu city that connect different localities to ease out traffic congestion.
Feroz Ahmed expressed concern over not organizing Ladakh tourist festival in Kargil and Zanskar this year. He demanded that the festivals should be held regularly in the area on the pattern of Leh.
Ashok Kumar demanded expeditious completion of work on two bridges namely Marsoo and Trungal.
Ashok Khajuria expressed concern over the poor functioning of NBCC in the old Jammu city. He demanded proper review of the works and making the NBCC accountable.

G M Saroori demanded construction of Chatroo-Vailoo tunnel to improve road connectivity with other parts of the State as well as with Himachal Pradesh.
Mir Saifullah demanded revocation of government order of appointing candidates of other districts against the vacancies of the Kupwara district. He said these vacancies should be filled up locally only.
Hakim Mohammad Yasin raised the issue of some youth appointed against the clear vacancies over 14 years ago and demanded their regularization.

Jagdish Sapolia demanded probe into the poor construction work of GDC, Basohli by the NBCC.
