BJP behaving on communal lines: Congress MLAs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Sept 27: Three Congress MLAs have taken strongly criticized the role of BJP ‘for behaving on communal lines without adhering to the principals of secularism.’ In a joint statement MLA Duroo G A Mir, MLA Inderwal G M Saroori and MLA Banihal, Vikar Rasool said, “They are propagating the ideals of Narinder Modi, who is promoting himself as a Prime Minister candidate in a secular country like India. Who isn’t in know of Modi’s past, which is full of killings of innocent Muslims after myth of Godhra killings in Gujarat (2002).” “Modi openly excused himself to wear a Muslim cap offered by a Moulana. He is the architect of Babri Masjid demolition as well as killings of innocent Muslims in that period,” the MLAs alleged. They asserted that India can never afford to have Modi as Prime Minister. “The role of BJP leaders like Ashok Khujaria and Chaman Lal Gupta (both MLAs) can never be forgotten, who have adopted the path of Modi and L K Advani,” they said. The MLAs requested the Speaker to come out with a ruling regarding expulsion of seven sitting BJP MLAs, who were expelled by the party a few months back after cross-voting in the LC polls.
