| CA&PD conducts surprise check | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 27:-In view of ensuing Navratra Festival, a team of CA & PD Department headed by Deputy Director, CA & PD Department, Jammu alongwith SHO and Naib Tehsildar, Bishnah conducts surprise checking of Bishnah market to keep a check on prices of essential commodities.
During the checking, various dhabbawallas, halwaies, fruit, vegetable and provision stores were checked and those who have not displayed the rate lists and were overcharging and not issuing bills to the consumers were fined on the spot. Besides, the dealers who were found violating the Departmental norms in functioning of their depots were also fined. An amount of Rs 6200 was recovered from the defaulters.
