| IMPA organizes 1-day awareness programme | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur, Sept 27: To sensitize officers about various sections of J&K Right to Information Act 2009, the J&K Institute of Management, Public
Administration and Rural Development (IMPA) organized a one day Awareness Programme here on Monday .
The programme was sponsored by J&K State Information Commission. Programme Coordinator , Rachna Dutt Goswami threw light on various topics including salient feature of J&K RTI Act, role and responsibilities of PIO and APIOs, implementing RTI in J&K etc.
She also outlined the importance of Right to Information Act and the responsibilities of the officers who provide information to the general public.
The RTI activists from Sangarsh RTI, JK also shared their experiences with the officers on the Act.
Balvinder Singh and Raman Sharma delivered lectures with the help of power point presentations. Later, a healthy face to face interaction was also held in which expert of RTI and officers participated. Among others, district officers of various departments/ public information officers, senior advocate, functionaries of Sangarsh RTI and faculty members from IMPA were present in the programme.
