RAVI ROHMETRA9/27/2011 10:50:42 PM
About five centuries ago, the pious land India, on a pious day of 1ST NAVRATRA gave birth to a noble soul known as Aggarsain in the house of Maharaja Vallab at Pratap Nagar situated at the bank of pious river Saraswati. The royal priest gave his prediction that the Child would shine like a star. In his boyhood Aggarain was given good thoughts of Self-purification and to become valiant. At the young age, Aggarsain started extending his helping to his father to make solid reforms in administration as a result of which praises were showered on him by the people from every corner of the kingship territory. Being visionary and foresighted Aggarsain took strong measures to extend his territory far and wide. By his effective and efficient planning he become successful in getting friendly cooperation of many outer territorial small kings. He made his Untiring efforts to unite the tattered small rulers and founded an innovative and peace-loving society known as Aggarwal Community to preach non-violence, brotherhood and worship to God. At that time, the whole country was involved in bloodshed and deadly turmoil due to infighting and treacherous plans of the bigger rulers to usurp the territories of small and weaker rulers without observing the norms of human rights. They had let loose the reign of tyranny openly heralding that might is right. In this grave situation of the country Aggarsain appeared as a divine power to usher an era of soothing light.
Incidently, as a good luck the Maharaja Kumad of Nadlok organised a function for the selection of a suitable bride-groom for his young beautiful girl Madhvi. Aggarsain also went there to witness the show Madhvi, at the first glimpse of Aggarsain was so impressed by the stoutness and face-beauty of the young boy the she garlanded him to make him her life partner. It is said that divine king Indra who was also there as one of the candidates to wed Madhvi, got irritated and to express his anguish he stopped raining in Pratap Nagar but through Yagya Kumad got rain in Pratap Nagar due to which divine king Indra in furious and started troubling the people of Pratap Nagar in other ways. On this Maharaja Aggarsain meditated to seek the help of Lord Shiva and Lakshmi and with their divine blessings Aggarsain got support from Nagwanshi King Mahirth of Kohlapur who also gave his young daughter of very charming features Raj Kumari to Aggarsain as his second wife which gave a supporting shot in his arm in achieving supremacy in his Kingship. The Union of two big Kingdoms melted the Vindicative attitude of Lord Indra who now treated Madhvi as his sister. Madhvi is considered as Maha Mata by Aggarwal Community. In sweet memory of Nagwansh, the Aggarwal Community at the time of marriage of their girls, the long hair of bride are twisted roundly like a snake which is Called Middy. Further this Community Celebrate Nag Panchmi with religious favour and gaiety. After the death of his father, Aggarsain as the will of his father established a new Kingship with the mission to live and let others.
This divine rule has now been adopted by the whole world. As a major social reformer, Aggarsain announced an ex-gratia grant of one gold ring and one gold coin to each poor family in his kingdom and also to those families who migrated from outside territories to his kingdom for permanent settlement so that they could start their business and construct houses for their residential purposes.
After many years under deteriorated situation and circumstances, the saints and scholars did not get proper attention and facilities from the people and administration due to which they tuned annoyed and the kingdom which stood there on a land of 650 acres got ruined. In year 1888-89 and again in the year 1938-39 Shri. S.L.Srivastva got excavated the land and found many statues of God, utensils, coins and many other domestic articles which have been preserved as antiques for the future generations.
In recognisation by the good work done by Maharaja Aggarsain, the Govt of India in the year 1976 brought into postal service a stamp bearing the statue of aggarsain and again in the year 1995 named an oil ship as Aggarsain which during his business trips highlights the good qualities of Maharaj Aggarsain for the information of the people of foreign countries.
The members of the Aggarwanshies are today known to many foreign countries.
Many great men of the aggarwal community such as Lala Lajpat Rai, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya, Sir Ganga Ram, national poet Methli Sham Gupta, Seth Jamna Dass etc have raised the prestige of this community bytheir dedication, devotion and sacrifice following the doctrine of Non-violence, brotherhood and the last but not the least to live and let others to live.
