| ‘Anand Sharma’s statement vague, objectionable’ | | Union government should review its so-called peace process: Prof Om | |
JAMMU DEC-06 Strongly criticizing Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anand Sharma’s vague and objectionable response to General Mushraf’s highly outrageous four-point ‘Kashmir solution’ the BJP spokesman and Vice President Prof Hari Om has asked the Union government to review its whole stand on the so-called peace process with Pakistan adding that ‘the Indian opinion is totally against the UPA Government’s foreign policy towards the aggressor Pakistan’. He made it loud and clear that the BJP, under no situation, would allow the government to walk into the Pakistani trap and dismember India. In a statement Prof Om said ‘the way the Union Government has responded to the pernicious views of Gen Musharaf, it can be safely said that it has practically decided to accommodate Pakistan in this part of the state and also push the entire Jammu and Kashmir towards Pakistan so that its age- old agenda of annexing the State through unfair means is fulfilled’. The suggestion to make the border between India and Pakistan irrelevant, he said, ‘ it amounts to negating the very concept of India as a sovereign and independent nation and permitting Pakistan to spread its terrorist tentacles all over the country’.
